Parts…Why We Offer Used Land Cruiser Parts (Even Though It’s a Pain)
At Proffitt’s Resurrection Land Cruisers, we’ve spent decades restoring Toyota Land Cruisers—hundreds of them, from barn-find 40 Series to daily driver 100 series, and everything in between. Over the years, we’ve collected an enormous inventory of used Toyota Land Cruiser parts. We’ve pulled them from parts trucks, donor builds, customer upgrades, and years of hunting down the good stuff before it disappeared.
And while we’re not in the business of selling parts full-time, we feel a real responsibility to the Land Cruiser community to make these used parts available.
Not a Parts Store. Not Really.
Let’s be honest: we’re a restoration shop, not a retail operation. Our focus has always been on building some of the best Land Cruisers in the world—not on running an e-commerce store. We don’t have a full-time shipping department, a fancy warehouse with barcodes, or a slick Amazon-style system. What we do have is a massive pile of hard-to-find parts, and a desire to help keep your Land Cruiser on the road.
So, even though shipping sometimes takes a few days, and our online store isn’t perfect, we do our best. We answer questions when we can, and we pack and ship orders with care—just not always with the speed of a big-box retailer.
Just the Tip of the Iceberg
It’s important to understand that what you see in our online store is only a tiny fraction of what we actually have in inventory. Our used parts collection is huge—but the process of organizing, photographing, and listing parts online is time-consuming and, frankly, not our strong suit. A couple of our team members work on the store when they have a little spare time, so the parts that make it online are often chosen randomly, based on whatever someone happened to be holding that day.
That means we have a lot more than what you see listed, and we’re always happy to check if we have the part you’re hunting for. Just shoot us a message with your request—but please be patient. Because of our limited staff and busy build schedule, it may take several days to dig through the inventory and get back to you.

Why We Bother
It would honestly be easier not to do this. Between the space it takes to store parts, the labor to organize and list them, and the admin it takes to fulfill each order, it’s unlikely we even break even. But we know how hard it is to find the right part at a fair price.
So, we keep doing it. Not for profit—but for the people out there wrenching in their garage, trying to keep a classic Toyota alive. In fact, we are those people ourselves.
A Little Patience Goes a Long Way
If you order from our online store, thank you. Just know what you’re getting into:
- Orders typically ship a few days after they’re placed
- Inventory is constantly changing, and we don’t always have time to list everything
- Returns can be tough, so please read descriptions carefully
- Our small admin team handles the store alongside our restoration projects
- We’re happy to take part requests, but replies may take a few days
We’re not perfect—but we’re real. And we care deeply about the vehicles, the history, and the people who keep these trucks going.
We’re All in This Together
At the end of the day, we’re all part of the same community—people who love Land Cruisers and want to keep them on the road, on the trail, or in the family for another generation. That’s why we keep digging through bins, labeling boxes, and listing parts when we can.
One More Really Cool Thing
Right now, while they last, you will find some really cool OEM Toyota tool kits that I put together. These are from a recent trip to Japan when I learned just how many JIS quality hand tools Toyota still makes. I ordered everything I could find and I have assembled three different tool kits for Land Cruiser enthusiasts to enjoy. These are great gifts for the Land Cruiser lover in your life. If you go onto the website and click “store” then “parts corner,” and the “featured” items category, you will find them.
Thanks for your patience. Thanks for supporting what we do. And thanks for doing your part to keep these amazing machines alive.
