What is a survivor Land Cruiser? In my definition, a survivor Land Cruiser has to have withstood the tests of time its entire life without major alteration, without significant damage, without rust, and without restoration. The Land Cruisers that meet all these requirements have aged gracefully and are still prime examples of what Toyota intended for the model. This extremely well-kept FJ62 checks all these boxes. I dare say it’s even a little nicer than the one in my collection. Very few are left in this condition.
This FJ62 has just over 150k on the odometer. Its two owners have both been excellent stewards of the vehicle. It has always been garaged and well maintained. The paint is all original and in excellent condition, with the worst damage being a few scuffs on the front fenders. The interior sports all of its original upholstery save new vinyl on the side of the driver seat. Under the hood, the original 3FE runs perfectly, with a cosmetic appearance similar to new.
This FJ62 is one of the few nearly perfect examples left. It’s meant for a serious collector. It does, however, need to be driven and enjoyed by its new owner.
