Warranty Information

As the largest and most respected Land Cruiser restoration shop in the country, we take enormous pride in the craftsmanship, experience, and attention to detail that goes into every vehicle we build. Our projects are known for setting the standard—built by hand, with care, by people who live and breathe these vehicles.

That said, even the most painstaking restoration can’t change the nature of what you now own: a vintage vehicle. We want to set expectations clearly, and we also want to provide guidance about what our one-year limited warranty covers—and what it doesn’t.

1. You’re Still Driving an Old Car

No matter what level of restoration we perform, you are still driving a classic Land Cruiser. Old cars will always need some attention, and even with most components renewed, they will never behave like modern, highly engineered, mass-produced vehicles. Vintage vehicles require regular care, mechanical sympathy, and an understanding that small quirks are part of the experience.

2. Aftermarket Parts Have Their Limits

Due to the age and rarity of these vehicles, many parts are no longer available from Toyota, so we often rely on aftermarket components from a wide range of manufacturers. These parts are not always held to the same engineering or production standards as OEM parts. They may be produced in smaller batches with less quality control, and unfortunately, they do sometimes fail. Failures due to aftermarket part flaws are not covered under our warranty.

3. Maintenance Items Are Not Covered

Routine maintenance is the responsibility of the owner and is not covered under this warranty. This includes things like fluids, filters, belts, hoses, light bulbs, brake pads, tires, batteries, and other wear-and-tear items. Like any classic vehicle, your Land Cruiser needs regular inspection and maintenance to stay in top condition.

4. Cosmetic Fit & Finish Expectations

We go above and beyond to elevate the original quality of these vehicles—but we’re still working within the framework of 40- to 60-year-old bodywork and manufacturing tolerances. Minor panel inconsistencies, trim alignment variations, and surface finish irregularities may exist. These are common on vehicles of this age, and in many cases, they’re part of the authentic character of a vintage Land Cruiser.

5. Abuse, Neglect, and Modifications

We build our trucks to be driven and enjoyed, but they’re not indestructible. Damage caused by off-road use, overloading, racing, lack of maintenance, or misuse is not covered. Likewise, any modifications or repairs made after delivery—especially those involving suspension, engine tuning, electrical systems, or bodywork—can void the warranty. Please consult with us before making any changes that could affect the integrity of the build.

6. Work Performed by Other Shops

We understand that it may be tempting or necessary to have another shop work on your truck. However, we’ve found that many shops—even those that claim to specialize in Land Cruisers—are unfamiliar with our methods or, in some cases, let professional  jealousy get in the way of honest collaboration. As such, we do not cover any repairs or diagnostics performed by another shop unless pre-approved in writing by us. This is to ensure issues are correctly diagnosed and handled, and that your restoration is protected.

7. Shipping is Not Covered

Our warranty does not cover the cost of transporting the vehicle to or from our shop for diagnosis or repairs. We’re happy to assist with recommendations for trusted transport services, but any shipping costs are the owner’s responsibility. We understand the shipping can be expensive, then we apologize for this inconvenience, but often times shipping a vehicle to and from the shop can far exceed the financial value of any warranty claim. Therefore, it is not covered.

8. Submitting a Warranty Claim

If you believe your vehicle has a warranty-related issue, contact us directly before taking any action. We may request photos, video, or a description of the issue. We reserve the right to inspect the vehicle before authorizing repairs. Any work performed without prior approval may not be covered or reimbursed.

9. Scope of Warranty

This one-year limited warranty covers defects in workmanship performed by our shop. It does not cover:

  • Failures caused by aftermarket parts
  • Maintenance or wear-and-tear items
  • Modifications or abuse
  • Third-party labor
  • Transport/shipping costs

10. Enjoy the Ride

These trucks weren’t meant to be museum pieces—they were meant to be driven. Take it to the mountains. Park it in front of your favorite coffee shop. Let it earn a little dust. Regular use (paired with good maintenance) will keep your Land Cruiser running better than sitting in a garage ever will.

We’ve built something special, and we’re here to stand behind it—within reason, and with the realism that comes from decades of experience. Thanks again for trusting us with your Land Cruiser.
