Parts Parts Parts!

IMG 8272 min 2 Proffitts Resurrection Land Cruisers

Almost every day, we get calls for used Land Cruiser parts. Over the years, we’ve amassed hundreds of Land Cruisers for parts and we have got quite a supply. Furthermore, I believe that it’s our responsibility to keep these parts available to the Land Cruiser community, so most of them are for sale. We really try to fill parts orders in a timely fashion, but it’s more difficult than it seems. The problem is that we aren’t actually a parts business. Every day, our efforts are focused 100% towards the restorations and builds currently in progress in our shop. Even though we have 12 people, we run lean, and everybody’s days are full trying to accomplish their responsibilities on our in-house projects. What this means is that it’s really hard to find the time to pull, box, and ship parts. We know that it should be a simple process, but it isn’t. I often make the analogy to asking someone to make you a pizza. If you call a pizza restaurant and ask them to make you a pie, it’s easy for them. It’s what they do! They have all of the pizza making infrastructure. If you call a hardware store and ask them to make you a pizza, it’s going to be harder for them to do. If it’s a cool place, they might be willing, but at least one person is going to have to go way out of their way to make it happen…and it’s probably going to take a lot longer than if the pizza restaurant did it.

I’m trying to make a point in an amusing way, but please be patient with us if you are waiting for used Land Cruiser parts. We want to help you, but it’s really not what we are set up to do.

  1. I’m interested in a nice custom front bumper and seat bracket system for my 77 FJ40 build. I was told you build both and they are the best but I can’t find any pictures on this web site. Do you have any pictures?

  2. I have a 1982 FJ40 that I’m interested in restoring more I started bu this not finish it. It has 79,000 original miles. Im Interested to know what the cost would be to or guesstimate like the beige one you said belonged to the sheriffs Dept. Plus I guess shipping it to Colorado. It is a 2f gas engine. Just an idea and I can send pics of it if you need to.
